I love plot twists.

For me, there's nothing better than reaching a point in a story where it suddenly turns upside down, when something that you took for granted is no longer true and it changes the whole picture.

It's like a gut punch, only it feels good.

As an author, I love writing plot twists. When I imagine you reaching that part of the story and how you'll react, it inspires me and keeps me going. 

Sometimes, a "killer twist" comes to me before I actually sit down and start writing a novel, when I'm still in the brainstorming stage.  When this happens, I decide that I simply MUST write the book, just because of that killer twist.

This is exactly what happened with Blob, my "first contact romantic thriller," as I'm now calling it. 

The big twist arrived along with the idea, which came to me around 2015.  Then and there, I knew I had to write the book just to deliver the twist.  But the story is about the dark side of AI, and at that time, it was a little too futuristic, I thought.  

Then, a few years ago, when AI became available to everyone and people started using it, I knew Blob's time had come.  Over this past summer, I finished the book, publishing it for free on Substack as I completed each final set of chapters.  

As of this morning, Blob is now published "wide" and ready to read as an ebook on all devices and apps.  It's available on Apple Books, Nook, Google Play, Kobo, Smashwords, and of course Amazon.

When you read it, I'd love to know if you saw the big twist coming, or if it caught you by surprise.

IMPORTANT!  This book will only be available on the non-Amazon stores for one week (until the end of September).  After that, it will be put into Kindle Unlimited and removed from all the Amazon sites to meet their exclusivity requirement.  So, if you want to buy the ebook from any of the non-Amazon stores, do it now!

LM&M: Mortal Silence - Coming Soon!

I'm also happy to report that I'm almost finished with Mortal Silence.  This is the 18th book in the Lust, Money & Murder series but can also be read as a standalone.

In this book, Elaine is sent to a bank in Switzerland that has received a $50 million deposit worth of very old US $100 bills from 1974, which of course raises flags. Then, in the midst of that investigation, Elaine's flamboyant Italian cook and housekeeper, Tony, is subpoenaed to London to testify in the murder trial of Salvatore Grimaldi, an aging Rome mafioso that he worked for as a young man. 

Things go south very, very fast. The story features the full LM&M cast:  Elaine, Nick, Luna, Tony, and Dmitry.

I can't give you an exact release date, but it will definitely be during the next month.
