Hello 'Unputdownables!'

When authors write books, most of us put far more into the first draft than ends up surviving the first edit. Some scenes are usually cut for reasons of pacing and polishing the story in a smooth, pleasing way.

In Outback Diamonds, there was a rather long sequence of scenes deleted near the end of the book. [⚠️ Spoiler Alert! If you haven't yet read the published book, please skip past the photo of the book cover]. These scenes describe how Giorgio Cattoretti manages to track down and capture Gareth Martin while avoiding the authorities himself. In the published book, the epilogue opens with Cattoretti already having tracked down Gareth and the details are left to the reader's imagination.
