This may sound strange, but when I’m in between writing Lust, Money & Murder books, it feels like Elaine, Luna, Nick, Tony, and even Giorgio Cattoretti are all sitting around in a break room, drinking coffee.  

Impatiently.

Like actors waiting for the next scene to be filmed.

Every now and then, Elaine sticks her head out and says, “Hey, Mike, when are you going to put us back into action?”

“Yeah,” Luna echoes, sticking her head out, too, her beaded braids clicking together.  “Tony’s coffee is great, but it’s damn boring just sitting around here, waiting.  Come on, man.  Chop-chop!”

It really is like that for me—this bunch of characters lives somewhere in my mind 24/7.

For fans of the series, I think the feeling is similar. You miss those characters as if they were real people.

Well, I’m happy to report I’m cranking out a shorter Lust, Money & Murder book to scratch that itch - a one hour read, give or take - called Sky Trap.

Here’s the synopsis:

She has one flight to stop a fake-money deal… funding the unimaginable.
