Every now and then, I get a message from a reader asking for more detail about something that happened in one of my books, and often I see a pattern to it — readers frequently ask the same question.

This usually happens because I like to keep my novels tight — I often cut out scenes or whole sequences of them (such as lengthy flashbacks) to keep the story focused.

When enough people ask the same question, however, I sometimes publish a separate short book that consists solely of the deleted scenes and offer it as a freebie. You may remember that I did this a while back with Outback Diamonds.

This is what I just did with Lust, Money & Murder, Book 3 as well.  If you are one of the people who read the book and wondered exactly how Nick survived the gunshots, why Giorgio Cattoretti believed he was dead, and how Tony ended up finding him in the dungeon and freeing him, this short book will answer those questions.

Deleted Scenes from

Mortal Silence

Speaking of deleted scenes, I'm preparing to publish a set from Mortal Silence, the latest Lust, Money & Murder book, which is getting great reader feedback right now. If you haven't read it yet, you're missing out, but I know you may be saving it for the right time.

The pattern with this book is that readers want to know more about the origin of the $50 million in fake 1974 U.S. $100 bills that are featured in the story - who exactly created them and how Salvatore Grimaldi got his hands on them.  

Those deleted scenes should be out at the end of next week.
