Hello 'Unputdownables!'

Did you know that a fiction writer predicted the sinking of the Titanic 14 years before it happened, in graphic detail?

Futility, a novel written by Morgan Robertson in 1898, tells of a massive, "unsinkable" ocean liner that goes down in the North Atlantic, resulting in a massive loss of life. Like the Titanic, both ships were British, were the largest and most luxurious of their time, carried too few lifeboats, and both struck an iceberg in April at around midnight.

The oddest coincidence of all?

The name of this fictitious ship in the book was The Titan.

"Life imitates art," as they say. I mention this because this strange phenomenon has touched my work a number of times. The most recent was with Outback Diamonds, my newest Lust, Money & Murder novel. The very day I finished the final draft, I found myself staring open-mouthed at the following New York Times news headline:

FAA Investigating How Counterfeit Titanium Got Into Boeing and Airbus Jets

If you haven't yet read my book, I don't want to spoil it, but the similarity to the plot is uncanny.

In fact, up until the moment I saw that article, I had a nagging doubt that some readers might consider my plot a bit far-fetched. But not anymore.

How can such things be explained? Are they simply odd coincidences, or do we fiction writers simply have devious minds? ðŸ˜ƒ

Discounted Lust, Money &

Murder Trilogy Boxed Sets

For those of you who may have fallen behind reading the Lust, Money & Murder series and want to catch up, I've created a set of discounted trilogy box sets for the first 15 books. The price of each set ($9.99) results in an average price of only $3.33 per book.

In addition, if you buy these sets on my online store using your discount coupon H2GPL0GWWU, the price drops to $2.99 per book. Due to the way that Amazon, Apple, B&N, etc. organize their book series, it can be difficult to find these sets on their websites--you have to search for them. So I'm including all the links here and will always include them for your convenience at the end in future newletters.  Please click on the images above to get the links for your preferred store.
